Forecaster

Context
LiveIntent works with publishers who monetize their email inventory. A critical challenge for publishers has always been understanding availability and forecasting impressions in order to efficiently plan and sell direct campaigns. Historically, this process was manual, time-consuming, and required coordination with LiveIntent teams to access impression data. To better empower publishers and streamline planning, LiveIntent developed the Forecaster tool.
Design Challenge
  • Provide publishers visibility into available and booked impressions across their email inventory.
  • Eliminate the need for back-and-forth with LiveIntent teams by offering self-serve access.
  • Support campaign planning at multiple levels (media group, publisher, template, ad slot).
  • Deliver deeper insights into impression composition (e.g., Age, Gender) to strengthen targeting strategies.
Solution Overview
  • Availability Dashboard: Built an intuitive dashboard allowing publishers to directly access and pull their own availability reports.
  • Granular Visibility: Enabled filtering and exploration at every level—media group, publisher, template, and ad slot.
  • Audience Insights: Included demographic attributes (Age, Gender) to show impression composition and strengthen campaign planning.
  • Streamlined Workflow: Allowed publishers to independently manage forecasting, reducing dependency on LiveIntent account teams.
Impact
  • Publisher Autonomy: Empowered publishers to self-serve, reducing bottlenecks and manual processes.
  • Streamlined Sales: Simplified direct-sold campaign planning by offering accurate and timely availability data.
  • Increased Efficiency: Freed LiveIntent’s internal teams from repetitive data requests, allowing them to focus on higher-value support.
  • Smarter Targeting: Gave publishers demographic insights to package and sell inventory more effectively.
