Context
Managing contracts in large construction projects has traditionally been a fragmented process. General contractors often lack visibility into contract performance, execution timelines, and commitments across subcontractors and projects. Without centralized insights, legal teams and project managers struggle to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the contract lifecycle.
The Contracts Dashboard was developed to solve this problem—bringing together contract data from across projects into one clear, actionable view without requiring any additional manual input.
Design Challenge
  • Provide full visibility into contract performance across subcontractors and projects.
  • Track key financial metrics such as contract value, commitments, payments, approvals, and retainage.
  • Surface execution insights—average time to create, execute, and sign contracts.
  • Deliver lifecycle transparency, showing how long general contractors and subcontractors take to review, edit, and execute contracts.
  • Ensure the dashboard is automated, pulling from existing contract workflows without requiring extra work from teams.
Solution Overview
  • Contracts Overview: High-level metrics including total contract value, paid vs. approved amounts, remaining balance, and retainage.
  • By Subcontractor & Project: Breakdowns of contract value per subcontractor and per project, alongside subcontractor commitments across multiple jobs.
  • Execution Tracking: Data on created vs. executed contracts and the average days to execute, enabling teams to benchmark performance.
  • Lifecycle Transparency: Visibility into review and signing times on both GC and subcontractor sides, helping identify process delays.
  • No Extra Input: All insights are generated automatically from the contracts managed on the platform, requiring no additional data entry.
